West named MDA chairman Lois R. West of Hilton Head, S.C., was elected chairman of MDA's Board of Directors at the Association's annual meeting in July. She succeeds Robert M. Bennett of Los Angeles, the Board's chairman for 10 years. West was president of MDA from 1991 to 1995 and has been a Board member for some 30 years.
