Untangling ALS

World Federation of Neurology teams up with Twitter to untangle unconventional ALS treatments

by Quest Staff on August 16, 2009 - 9:00pm

A new forum for easily accessible scientific information on alternative and off-label (not approved by the Food and Drug Administration) treatments for ALS is now being offered by the World Federation of Neurology (WFN) on its WFN ALS Web site. The forum, ALS Untangled (ALSU), uses Twitter for its communications.

Here's how it works:

  • Sign up for a free Twitter account, either on the Twitter site or the WFN ALSU site.
  • Send in questions ("tweets") about any alternative or off-label ALS therapy. Include the term "ALSuntangled" in the message.
  • Follow ALS Untangled on Twitter by going to ALSUntangled on Twitter, logging into your Twitter account from there, and clicking the "follow" button.

And don't forget: Follow MDA news on Twitter.
