How can I send a letter to the editor?

For letters to the editor of Quest, please send your letter to:

Letters must be signed and contain a daytime phone number, city and state, and be no more than 250 words long. Letters may be edited for space.

If you prefer, you can e-mail your letter to the editor of either publication to Please be sure to indicate which publication you’re addressing, and include your full name, city and a telephone number.

How to Subscribe to QUEST

Quest is a great source of information. Published quarterly, it contains stories about vital concerns of people with neuromuscular diseases, their friends, families and caregivers.

Quest is free to U.S. residents with any of the 43 neuromuscular diseases in MDA's program who are registered with MDA.

If you have a diagnosis of any of the neuromuscular diseases in MDA's program, please make sure your MDA local office knows your current mailing address and ask them to "update the national mailing list." You'll receive Quest every quarter.

How can I request permission to link to an MDA publication, reprint MDA material or obtain a photograph?

All MDA published material is copyrighted and may not be reproduced, published, transmitted or submitted in whole or in part without the prior written consent of MDA.

To request permission to reproduce something from an MDA publication, please send a letter that includes your daytime phone number, email address, if available, and a brief explanation of the intended use of the requested material to:
