Dean Adraktas is more than used to speaking his mind. In fact, Adraktas' voice was his bread and butter for over a decade while he worked in radio news and as a radio news talk show host. But all of that came to a standstill for the 37-year-old from Fair Oaks, Calif., when his speech began to slur as a result of ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or Lou Gehrig's disease).
