This computer access device allows persons with limited mobility to control their computer using very small movements in any muscle, including muscles in the face, jaw, neck, arm and leg. An electrode detects minute muscle contraction and sends a signal to a receiver where specialized software processes it as a traditional switch “click.” Impulse can be integrated with many major speech generation systems, and Bluetooth wireless technology lets operators stay connected to their computers from as far away as 30 feet. This floating beach wheelchair makes going to the beach fun for those with limited mobility by providing seamless transitions from boardwalk to beach to water. The chair features an aluminum frame and stainless steel parts and shock-absorbent rubber tires. Mobi-Chair is maneuverable and has a weight-bearing capacity of up to 300 pounds. The GADA Belt is a soft, secure, waterproof sideguard set for use in manual wheelchairs. Fastened with an adjustable belt secured by a plastic clip, the belt’s canvas design helps prevent skin damage and breakdown and keeps clothes clean and dry, while helping the user maintain seating position and posture. The GADA makes easier the handling and performance of one’s wheelchair, and can be used for sports or every day. This portable visual cuing system can be worn as a “wrist tag” or carried as a key chain, and enables children and adults to communicate with parents, caregivers and others. Wristbands can be ordered in youth (7-inch) or adult (8-inch) sizes. Kits include 30 icon charms with messages such as “Scared,” “Angry,” “Hot,” and “Drink,” two wristbands, two key chains and a portable carrying case. Bands are yellow and green to provide high visual contrast with the black ink used for charm icons, and are 100 percent silicone (latex-free). Charms, which measure a half-inch by a half-inch, have no moving parts. They can be used individually or in groups, and are easily attached or removed from bands. The retail price is $34. A foot lever at the rear of the chair activates tilting, and curved tubes sandwiched between common wheel bearings provide stability and smooth travel.
